Armstrong Auditorium is pleased to host the Spring Honors Recital for the music programs of both Herbert W. Armstrong College and Imperial Academy. The recitals will feature select soloists from both schools, as well as a variety of repertoire from the Armstrong Youth Orchestra, the Armstrong Choral Union and the Imperial Choraliers.
The 36-member orchestra will perform two works by the campus’s assistant music director, Mark Jenkins, as well as a concerto featuring one of its graduating seniors as violin soloist. The nearly 70-strong choral union will perform “Over the Rainbow,” Randall Thompson’s exquisite “Alleluia,” as well as “I’m a Train,” made famous by the King’s Singers. The elementary-aged Choraliers will steal hearts with their rendition of Bing Crosby’s “Teamwork” and an inspiring ballad called “Dream a Dream.”
Admission is free and no reservations are required.
